Information we process
Account identifiers, sign-in methods and information needed for authentication; your chosen name, username, avatar and profile; friend and group relationships and privacy preferences; chat content and attachments; meeting and call records.
We also process support messages, account deletion requests and their processing records, along with service logs needed to operate Loop, troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse. Features with notifications enabled process device push identifiers and notification preferences.
How we use this information
To create and maintain accounts, help you find friends, deliver messages, provide calls and meetings, save preferences, respond to support requests and handle account deletion requests. Necessary service logs also help us investigate faults and prevent abuse.
Service providers
We use service providers for authentication, messages and attachments, real-time audio and video, cloud hosting and device notifications. Information needed to provide a feature is sent to the relevant service provider when you use that feature.
Device notification delivery depends on version configuration, device permissions and network conditions.
Encryption and privacy protection
Messages use TLS-encrypted connections and encrypted cloud storage. Voice and video use DTLS-SRTP transport encryption to protect media during network transmission.
Encryption in transit and cloud encryption at rest are not end-to-end encryption. The current version does not offer end-to-end encryption; systems needed to provide communication services still process relevant content. Local device caches are also affected by device and operating-system security settings.
Use Privacy and security to manage username search, QR-code discovery, friend request approval and your blocklist.
Device permissions
Microphone, camera and photo access are requested when needed for a feature. You can manage permissions in your device settings. A feature that needs a permission may not work if you've turned it off.
Retention and account deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data in the app and check the request status. Submitting a request does not mean your account or provider-held data has been deleted.
Necessary security records, information that must be retained by law and backups that have not yet expired may not be removed immediately. Copies saved independently by other users are outside our control.
The full process for removing account and service-provider data is not yet generally available. We do not promise immediate deletion of all data after a request. Check the status shown on your request page.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change how friends find you, block users and use Data and permissions to export the name, username, region and privacy preferences saved on your current device. This export is not a complete copy of all account data or chat history.
For access, correction or deletion questions, go to Me → Help and support → Contact support. If you cannot sign in, see our help page.
Current service scope
The current version does not provide real-money services. Loop does not promise end-to-end encryption.
Policy updates
We'll update this page if our processing practices change. The date shown below identifies the latest revision.
